Where Do I Feel It?

A Gentle Guide for Adults

Supporting children as they explore where sensations appear inside their body.

This guide is here to softly support your understanding of the body‑mapping choices a child may make while using the Where Do I Feel It? toolkit.
Unlike the icon‑based toolkit, this one focuses on location — the place in the body where a sensation is happening — rather than naming or interpreting the sensation itself.

Children may tap a spot on the body outline, place an icon, or simply explore without choosing anything.
Every approach is valid.

There is no single “correct” meaning for any location.
Bodies speak in quiet, personal ways.
This guide offers possibilities, not conclusions — and always with gentleness.

A Final Note

Children do not need to recognise every signal — or any at all.
Noticing is a skill that grows slowly, with safety and connection.

Your presence is the most important part.
